The Town of Leesburg announced the reopening of one of its tennis bubbles at Ida Lee Park on February 2, 2026, bringing joy to local tennis enthusiasts after a recent winter storm caused damage. The original four-court tennis bubble, installed back in 2007, was safely deflated following the collapse of the newer three-court bubble on January 25 but has now undergone minor repairs and is ready for action. Classes, contracts, and private lessons will resume as scheduled, allowing players to get back on the court without interruption. Meanwhile, the 2022-installed three-court bubble remains closed for more extensive repairs, with affected sessions canceled through February 6 and refunds issued promptly. The town will reassess its status mid-week for a possible earlier reopening. Residents can reach out to Tennis Supervisor Jowita Snowden for details on classes or reservations. This swift response underscores Leesburg’s dedication to providing quality recreational facilities, promoting health, fitness, and community engagement through accessible sports amenities year-round.
